Chairman's Message

At its core, nation-building through social impact is an exercise in craftsmanship. The patient forging of purposeful actions — big and small — shape the contours of progress in ways both seen and unseen.

The work we do at Hasanah involves investing in people. We take the long term view, prioritising sustainable and meaningful outcomes over short-term gains. For us, it is all about nurturing structural change, fostering resilience, and enabling communities to grow on their own terms.

Having close to 700 partners as our eyes and ears on the ground offers a unique vantage point: an elevated understanding of the nation’s needs and realities.

We are grateful for the partnerships that have since 2015 enabled us to reach 3,747, 258 people through 962 projects amounting to RM1.886 billion in total funds.

To all our strategic partners over the years, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Education — thank you for your continued trust in the power of collaboration. Nation-building is a continuous pursuit and never the work of only one.

Private enterprises are now an essential force of the social impact ecosystem. Across sectors, the definition and pursuit of success are taking on new meaning. We see this through our Hasanah Social Enterprise Fund where entrepreneurs are aligning people and profits in their business decisions. Commercial prowess and community wellbeing are being increasingly acknowledged as two sides of the same coin; shared outcomes of sustainable growth.

As the world continues to evolve so do the ambitions and aspirations across our five pillars of education, community development, the environment, the arts, and knowledge.

These days, delivering societal value requires more than good intentions — it demands effective stewardship of resources, relationships, and time. Even seemingly small efforts, when strategically executed, can create compounding good.

With this in mind, Hasanah remains committed to fostering impact that is immediate in its relevance and lasting in its significance, so future generations can shape Malaysia’s next chapter of progress.
