Once a prized heirloom spice in Borneo, vanilla farming faded into obscurity—until Uncle Alfred stepped in.

With a vision to revive this heritage crop, he is building a sustainable vanilla ecosystem that not only produces high-quality vanilla but also changes lives. Uncle Alfred employs local communities, as well as ex-convicts, giving them a second chance at reintegration through agriculture.

Teman: Providing Care Companionship in an Ageing Malaysia

With Malaysia’s aging population on the rise, the silent epidemic of loneliness is becoming more urgent. Teman is addressing this crisis by providing companionship and caregiving services for the elderly, pairing them with trained caregivers called Temanians.

More than just a service, Teman is fostering a culture of care, bridging the generational gap, and ensuring that aging Malaysians are not left behind. In a world where family structures are shifting, Teman is proving that community and connection are just as vital as healthcare.
